Welcome to Southern Sardinia

Southern Sardinia is one of the most beautiful and fascinating regions of Italy, with breathtaking landscapes and a rich historical and traditional culture. For a photographer, this territory offers a unique opportunity to capture extraordinary images.

The area is characterized by white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, rocky cliffs, green valleys, and imposing mountains. The diversity of these landscapes makes Southern Sardinia a true paradise for photographers, offering endless possibilities for creative shots.

Moreover, Southern Sardinia is also rich in history and culture, with ancient archaeological sites, artisanal traditions, and cultural events taking place throughout the year. These elements add depth and meaning to photographs, transforming them from simple images into visual stories.

Southern Sardinia is also a relatively lesser-known tourist destination compared to other Italian regions, which means photographers can enjoy a certain tranquility and a less chaotic environment, allowing them to take photos without disturbances.

Our course will take place in Autumn when weather instability is high: this will maximize our chances of finding interesting light conditions and take advantage of even adverse weather conditions to create unique and breathtaking images.

Workshop Schedule

We will meet in the late morning of Wednesday, November 30h at Cagliari Airport, and from there we will move to our hotel. Once there, we will immediately start working, discussing techniques and planning field activities.

From the arrival until the departure day, we will chase the light of sunrises and sunsets, exploring the most beautiful locations in Southern Sardinia.

Between sunrise and sunset, there will be theory sessions, post-production, and relaxation while exploring the area in excellent company and enjoying the delicacies that this land has to offer.

Every day, we will determine the best location for shots based on the weather conditions, and you will be an active part of this planning process to allow you to develop not only your photographic skills but also location management, an essential skill for a landscape photographer.

The small group size will give you the opportunity to discuss extensively during the shooting phases with the instructors to maximize the learning experience. The last shooting session will be at dawn on Sunday, November 3rd; for this reason, return flights are recommended no earlier than Sunday afternoon

The course is intentionally scheduled during the most weather-variable season to have a higher chance of encountering interesting lighting conditions. Obviously, we cannot control the weather, but we can adapt to it. In case of heavy rain, the course will still proceed, with more emphasis on educational aspects and post-production.

The meeting point is set for 12 PM on Wednesday, October 30th, outside the Arrivals area at Cagliari Elmas Airport. On Sunday, November 3rd, in the early afternoon, we will bid farewell at the same location.

If you’re connecting from Italy, the best way to reach Cagliari in Sardinia is from Bergamo (BGY) airport, which is very close to Milan. There are lots of low-cost flights every day!

In order to confirm the reservation, a deposit of 30% is required. The balance is required 90 days before the Workshop date.

If you cancel and the Workshop is otherwise filled, we will refund you the full amount you paid for the tuition, minus a 300€ service charge. If you cancel and the Workshop does not fill, then you will be refunded according to the following schedule, based on the full fee of the Workshop:
