Off the tourist routes, the Gulf of Poets is a hidden gem along the coast of Liguria, in Italy. With its varied coastline and picturesque villages, it is the perfect scenery for all seascape photography lovers.

This adventure is designed not only to bring you to the most photogenic locations but also to allow you to train your mind to view the shot before taking it. Our goal is to grow your awareness and creativity to return home not only with beautiful images to be proud of, but especially with new techniques and knowledge useful for your photographic passion.
Welcome to the Gulf
We will meet in the late morning at our hotel located in the heart of the Gulf. From there we will immediately begin to get to work discussing technique and planning the activities in the field.
From arrival to the day of departure, we will chase the light of sunrises and sunsets exploring the most beautiful locations of the Gulf of Poets.
Between sunrise and sunset, theory, post-production and relax exploring the area in great company, also enjoying in front of the sea the delicacies that will be cooked for us by our chef (all the meals are included in the course)!
Every day we’ll define the best shooting location according to the weather and you’ll be an active part of this planning process to let you develop not only your photographic skills but also location management, an essential skill for a landscape photographer.
The small size of the group will give you the possibility to discuss extensively during the shootings with the instructors in order to maximize the learning experience.
On the last day, after the sunset, we will have our last dinner together celebrating this unforgettable experience. The last night’s accommodation is included, so you can travel back home the next day well-rested.

Covid19 is something we can’t ignore. For this reason, for this workshop, we’re going to implement all the actions to minimize any risk of possible contagion.
However, something out of our control may happen, like government local restrictions or complete lockdowns. That’s why for this workshop we’re going to apply special refund policies in order to minimize your risk and potential economical loss.
Right now, we can expect 3 Covid19 scenarios:
- No Covid19 impact
- Government lockdown/travel restrictions in your country
- Government lockdown in Italy (our country)
Scenario 1: No Covid19 impact
This is the expected case. In case of your cancelation is not due to Covid19, standard cancellation policies apply (please refer to “Cancellation Policies” section).
Scenario 2: Government lockdown/travel restrictions in your country
In this case, the workshop will be confirmed, but we will do everything we can to let you get your money back.
If the lockdown happens before you pay the final balance, you will be refunded your deposit minus the quota of the fixed expenses that we can’t get back (for example car rental, hotel). Evidence of this will be given.
If this happens after you pay the final balance, you will be refunded the full amount of the workshop (deposit + balance) minus the quota of the fixed expenses that we can’t get back (for example car rental, hotel). Evidence of this will be given.
Full Vaccination/Green Pass requirement from your country to travel is considered a “No Covin19 impact” scenario.
Scenario 3: Government lockdown in Italy (our country)
In this case, we will not have access to the workshop location, and for this reason, the workshop will be canceled.
If this happens, you will get a full refund of what you paid to us for this workshop.
For this or any other scenario, we strongly suggest you take into consideration the subscription of a Travel Insurance.
The accommodation is included for 4 nights (from 16th to 19th included) in single room occupancy in a picturesque hotel surrounded by nature and in front of the sea. This will let us not only to be in the real heart of the Gulf of Poets for all our shooting activities, but it will let us enjoy our relaxing time surrounded by traditions and charm. Food is included (breakfast, lunch and dinner); beverages are excluded.
No particular physical preparation is required. Just short walks and a couple of fences to be jumped are waiting for us 🙂 If you have any limitation or doubt just ask so we can explain you better every detail!
This Workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced photographers. It is suggested a good knowledge of the camera and the basics relating to the use of shutter speeds and apertures. Post-production is done through simple development software such as Adobe Lightroom or Capture One
The following equipment is suggested:
- Digital SLR camera
- Wide-angle lens
- Remote shutter
- Photographic filters

The Workshop is deliberately planned in a season with a significant meteorological instability to have a greater possibility of having interesting light conditions. Unfortunately we can not control the weather, but we can adapt to it. In case of heavy rain, the course will be held in any case giving more emphasis to the post-production and class theory.
The meeting point will be at the hotel located near the village of Tellaro (SP), Italy. As the travel is not included, you should proceed with booking on your own. In any case, we’ll provide full support on this so please don’t hesitate to ask us what is the best travel solution for you 🙂
In order to confirm the reservation, a deposit of 30% is required. The balance is required 90 days before the Workshop date.
If you cancel and the Workshop is otherwise filled, we will refund you the full amount you have paid towards the tuition, minus a 300€ service charge. If you cancel and the Workshop does not fill, then you will be refunded according to the following schedule, based on the full fee of the Workshop:
- Within 60 days from the date of the workshop: penalty of 50% of the course fee
- From 59 days to the date of the Workshop: 100% penalty of the course fee
The deposit is not refundable as used for reserving essential services like transports and accommodation.
