The Sound of Silence

"The Sound of Silence" leads through the dunes to Luskentyre beach, on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, under a heavy grey sky. It is a long exposure seascape, printed as a signed fine art print.

Dune grass bends in the wind in the foreground, blurred into soft green lines, and a path of white sand runs down to the shore. The sea keeps its turquoise colour even under these clouds, with a single white line of surf, while the hills across the bay turn blue. Everything feels still, even though the moving grass shows how strong the wind was.
