The photograph
"The Sentinel" frames the striped church of San Pietro on its rocky point in Portovenere, Liguria, Italy, in a long exposure seascape printed as a signed fine art print.
Seen from above, an old stone wall with an arched window fills the bottom corner, and the promontory reaches out into a sea that the long exposure has turned into a milky blue haze. The clouds stretch into long streaks across the sky, and a thin line of warm light stays low on the horizon. Almost everything in the frame is blue, apart from the red and grey stone of the cliff.
