The photograph
"The Perfect Storm" captures Butt of Lewis Lighthouse in rough weather, on the cliffs of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, as a long exposure seascape printed as a signed fine art print.
The red tower rises on the right under a low, heavy sky, while the sea below turns turquoise and white as it pours around the dark rocks. The long exposure keeps the power of the waves but softens every splash into mist, so the storm becomes pure movement. It is the Hebrides at their wildest, with all the texture of the rocks and the water on the paper.
Paper and printing
Printed by me in Italy, only when you order, on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth: cotton paper with an almost silky touch. My own colour profiles for this paper, and a UV coating so colours do not fade. Signed by hand, with a natural white border ready for the frame. The frame is not included.
Open Edition: no limit of copies. Limited Edition: 30 numbered copies, with a certificate of authenticity and a registered hologram.
