The photograph
"Tears of Sun" centers on the Favaritx lighthouse, on the northeast coast of Menorca in the Balearic Islands, Spain. It is a long exposure lighthouse photograph, printed as a signed fine art print.
A black and white spiral climbs the tower against a sky of gold and brown, where the clouds have been stretched into long strokes. Around the dark rocks of the cape the sea breaks into a white mist, and further out it keeps a deep turquoise color. Warm sky and cold water meet in the same frame, and that contrast holds the whole picture together.
