The photograph
"Smokers" shows the red fishing cabins of Reine, in the Lofoten Islands of Norway, covered in snow. It is a long exposure seascape, printed as a signed fine art print.
Low clouds wrap the dark peak above the village and slide off its summit like smoke, blurred by the long exposure. Below, the cabins stand on stilts over snowy rocks, and the sea around them has turned smooth and silky, with only a thin white trace where it meets the shore. A soft pink light on the mountains keeps the whole scene gentle in the middle of winter.
