The photograph
"Silent Storm" comes from the rocky shore of Elgol, on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, under a storm that turned everything blue. It is a long exposure seascape, printed as a signed fine art print.
The distant hills almost disappear into the low clouds, and the sea between them and the shore has become a soft white fog. Only the rocks in the foreground keep their detail, with patches of yellow lichen as the one warm note in the picture. Clouds and storms are the best friends of a long exposure, and here they make the scene quiet instead of wild.
