The photograph
"Melancholy" portrays the rocky shore of Le Dramont, on the French Riviera, under a grey storm sky. This long exposure seascape in cool blue tones is printed as a signed fine art print.
Wet dark rocks lead from the foreground toward a tiny island with a square stone tower on the horizon. Between them the long exposure has turned the sea into a soft blue fog, and the clouds into long brushstrokes of grey and white. It is a quiet and introspective picture, for those who love the sea in its calmer moods.
