The photograph
"Light Tide" looks across Embleton Bay to the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle, on the Northumberland coast in England. It is a long exposure seascape taken at sunrise, printed as a signed fine art print.
A wide curve of sand leads the eye to the castle, a small dark shape on the headland under a pink and grey sky. The long exposure gathers the waves into one band of white foam along the shore, and the wind blurs the dune grass and ferns in the foreground. It is a soft and quiet picture of the North Sea at first light.
