Frozen

"Frozen" finds the stone arch of Arnarstapi, on the Snæfellsnes peninsula in west Iceland, under a layer of winter snow. It is a long exposure seascape, printed as a signed fine art print.

Snow covers the dark basalt of the arch and the rocks around it, and the long exposure has turned the rough sea into a thick white fog that fills every gap. Only a hint of pink and orange light shows through the grey clouds. Nature should never be feared or underestimated, only respected, and a winter coast like this one shows why.
