The photograph
"Far and Beyond" opens on the double rock arch of Praia da Marinha, on the Algarve coast of Portugal, at sunrise. It is a long exposure seascape, printed as a signed fine art print.
From the top of the cliffs the view reaches an ocean painted pink and orange by the first light. The long exposure turns the waves around the sea stacks into a soft white veil, so the golden limestone looks even warmer against the water. I use long exposures to slow the sea down, and here it almost stops.
