The photograph
"Cocoon" features Vestrahorn, the jagged mountain near Höfn in southeast Iceland, seen from its black sand beach in a long exposure seascape printed as a signed fine art print.
Tufts of golden grass grow on the dark dunes and lead the eye toward the peaks, lightly dusted with snow. A streak of pink light crosses the moving clouds, while the long exposure softens the waves along the shore into a pale silver strip. Black sand, golden grass and a grey sky make up the whole palette of this corner of Iceland.
