Cloud Dancer

"Cloud Dancer" sets a small island and its stone tower against a stormy sky at Le Dramont, on the Côte d'Azur in the south of France. It is a long exposure seascape, printed as a signed fine art print.

Dark clouds twist and stretch above the horizon, opening here and there onto patches of blue. The long exposure has smoothed the Mediterranean into a pale mist, so the round rocks in the foreground seem to float in it. I use long exposures to slow the sea down, and on a stormy day like this they make the whole scene feel still.
