The photograph
"Breath of the North" is a long exposure seascape of Unstad beach in the Lofoten Islands, Norway, in winter, printed as a signed fine art print.
Snow covered mountains close the bay on the left, lit by a last warm light, while a dark storm front takes the rest of the sky. The long exposure turns the Arctic sea into a white mist around the round boulders of the beach, so the picture feels still even though the water never was. Nature is always in charge up there, and the light changes in minutes.
