The photograph
"Black Sun" closes the story of the total solar eclipse of August 2026 at the Artrutx lighthouse in Menorca, Spain: the tower in silhouette against a thin crescent of sun, printed as a signed fine art print.
In the final partial phase the moon still hides most of the sun, leaving only a bright arc next to the lantern, while the clouds glow in deep orange and brown. The sun was about to set right in front of the boat, and after these frames there was only darkness. It is the darkest image of the eclipse series.
